The program is mutually beneficial as it not only educates those within the facility to care for and breed the Quolls it also aids the rehabilitation of the Quolls. The quolls are one of Australia's endangered species. With an expected life span of only 3 years Quolls need much care, sharing this responsibility with the prisoners aids in their long-term rehabilitation.
