The brief called for a townhouse style dwelling to be enjoyed strictly as a holiday retreat. The site can be seen from the adjacent Bustard Bay and views from the upstairs living rooms accommodate 200 degree views. In response to the topography the building mass is elevated for the solar access and breezes whilst counteracting the provincial category three cyclone rating. The original concept facilitated a peeling back of each individual roof maximising the street aspect and solar access. |
