Trumps Alto Ego is a day-spa designed by JGA in a heritage area of Sydney - The Rocks.
The two consent authorities we had to go through were onerous- Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority ( SHFA) and Sydney City council. The spa occupies the ground floor of a heritage-listed building and the décor cleverly combines original features such exposed brick walls and beamed ceilings. The brief was sumptuous glamour from French Morocco, which was created with luxe tiles, crystal chandeliers, gold leaf walls and padded gold fabric ottomans. The end result is a warmth, sumptuousness and glamorous space. |
